November 2, 2001: Despite increased naval security in front of The Oriental, morning boat traffic on the Chao Phya River appears brisk.

November 4, 2001: Shot of a shot.

November 8, 2001: An old family-lived-on barge moves up and down river ... carrying whatever you want between Bangkok and the Burma border.

November 9, 2001: Breaking news? Men in suits and wearing street hats seen in a speeding boat ... accompanied by other men less formally attired.

November 10, 2001: The Peninsula today.
