September 24-30, 2010
I love these girls. I am really going to miss them when we go home to Bangkok.
The Peruvian Bird Eating Spider ... not so much.
This afternoon Robin and Stephani took us to Mancini's Italian restaurant for lunch. We pretty much had the place to ourselves.
After lunch I had a chance to be nostalgic with an old set of wheels.
We drove to Bal Harbour (Miami) today for lunch. One of our favorite spots for dining is a Swiss/French cafe named La Goulue. It is located in a very upscale mall (Shops of Bal Harbour) and it is flanked north, south and west by designer stores.
We last ate there on March 7th of this year. This time, rather than ordering turf and tater stuff we took mostly from the sea. Gazpacho soup for starters; for the main course Watcharee had salmon while I went for the tuna tartar.
Shopping followed. But, more about that tomorrow.
Is it because men like to be carried and women like to carry?
The local food roll continues ... this time it is Thai: "Tamarind Thai Sushi".
PS: Shopping for Watcharee's signature lunch ingredients required two stops.
The preparations for a lunch with friends.
* Watcharee, Kig, Pam, Ta and Mai. Mathana was not captured by the lens as she had to run an errand.
PS: The eaten.
* Mai does Ta.
This afternoon we received a surprise USPS package ("If it fits, it ships!") from our friends Kanda and Barry and their daughter, Kimmie*. It was mostly San Francisco themed; also, candy for Watcharee and a practical book for me. Thank you!!!
* Readers will recall their visit to Bangkok.
