The girl, second from the left, has overcome a terrible personal handicap. She now is a success at her day job near the Shangri-La Hotel.
Yesterday we celebrated Watcharee's birthday at "The Dining" in the Grand Hyatt Erawan Hotel.
What is this?
And, how is it related to this?
Did you ever wonder how air conditioning works? Was it just a fan blowing air over a chunk of ice? Or, was it more complicated than that? Well, you'll be able to look at the rude workings when something goes really wrong.
How sexist of me: while the girls cleaned I went to a french restaurant. Hmmm ... maybe I am being just ageist.
Bangkokians love their soi food ... but, they very rarely see the 'shop' when it is after hours.
PS: For THOCBDC readers who don't know what soi* food is.
* Street ... sort of.
On 9/11 I had just finished dinner at The Terrace restaurant and had returned to my rooms at The Oriental hotel here in Bangkok. I turned on the TV and was met with visions of a burning World Trade Center. At first, I thought it was a movie. Of course, it wasn't.
Yesterday, I turned on the TV after lunch in our Bangkok condo. What could have been a horror/science fiction movie was playing on CNN. This time I knew it was real.
PS: Do earthquakes target Apple products? OK, you see this Japanese earthquake put a crimp in my Mac and my iPad (both are American Apple products) but, it ignored my Japanese made PC. And, to show that I am really becoming paranoid the ONLY crimp that it put in my Mac and my iPad was their ability to log on to THOCBDC!
PPS: Remember ... the last giant earthquake in Asia that killed hundreds of thousands took place the day after Christmas when Jesus was pissed about not getting enough Christmas gifts. Yesterday's quake killed thousands just two days after Ash Wednesday. That Jesus jerk gets so pissed off so easily ... what was it: not enough people had ashes dabbed on their foreheads by altar boy loving priests?
