Twelve time zones away ... and more than 15,000 kilometers from here ... our Bangkok condo is getting an A/C upgrade. These events were brought to THOCBDC via a live in-condo cam feed.
Meanwhile here in FLL I tend to a couple of caches.
On Sunday I took 5 Thai girls for lunch at "Tamarind Thai Sushi", a Thai restaurant on US1 north of Fort Lauderdale. From left to right they are Kig, Ta, Watcharee, Dang and Ying. Today we'll look at the restaurant and the broad dining table. Tomorrow we'll look at the individual dishes and why I had to eat at a separate table.
While the Thai girls were having dish after dish after dish after dish of Thai food I was at an adjacent table with a modest soup and a frugal Tuna Tower. While the girls had themselves as company my conversation friend was my iPad.

We had our first stone crab dinner in more than a year. Florida's stone crab season is short and usually when it is open we are in Bangkok.
Speaking of Bangkok, we are happy we are not there while the workers work on our air conditioning. But, we can watch.
Last night we went to a Chima, a Brazilian style restaurant just .4 of a mile from our house. We took the five American girls who are staying at another house. Frequent THOCBDC readers will recognize Stephani, who appears in just one of the photographs ... though there is a hint of her in at least one other photo.
Chima is famous for its all-you-can-eat buffet AND the walking carvers who constantly offer you endless slices of a variety of cooked meats from their handy spears.
One of the group photos I "Photo Shopped" using 'brush strokes'.
