'Spying' on our Bangkok condo with Apple products.
PS: Real-life walking through the house where Christy and Lisa will stay using a Leica (digital).
Memories are made of food.*
* OK, it was a lazy day for us.
Yes ... again!
Last evening we drove up A1A* along the ocean before heading inland for a visit to Truluck's, an American restaurant in the Galleria Mall that specializes in seafood. Oysters, stone crab and sea bass loomed large at our table. Daughters Lisa and Christy had flown in the night before.
* Though most of the Spring Breakers had gone north there were still a few bikinis sitting at the outside bars (but not really within camera range).
Last night we went to Fort Lauderdale's Sukhothai restaurant. Daughters Lisa and Christy were with us along with an old friend from their high school, Ken.
For their last dinner in Fort Lauderdale we took Lisa and Christy to Chima, a Brazilian restaurant in our neighborhood. Years ago (like in the '80s) this was the home of Banyans, a local outside bar built around a couple of very large Banyan trees.
The rule at Chima is that you must eat meats after meats after meats until you say 'enough' and turn up the "NO" disc beside your plate. It's a great place.
PS: Since we have been in Fort Lauderdale ... a little over three weeks now ... we have hit a number of really nice restaurants (including repeats). Yes, this is a restaurant town!
