TUESDAY, September 24th

Departure to "Figueres" (one hundred and thirty kilometers north from Barcelona) by coach (Dress: Cool, Casual, Walking shoes with waterproof sole are recommended)
Catalan breakfast at Calella de Palafrugell (fishermen's village), on the seaside. Live "Habaneras" (fishermen singers chorus).
Visit to the world wide known Dalí Museum, located in the old municipal theater. It is the second most visited museum in Spain. Its collection offers a large variety of works created by different techniques and representing the different styles of the artist.
Drive 1 Km from Salvador Dalí Museum to "l'Hotel Ampurdà", one of the most well known restaurants in the area. Classified with one star by the Michelin guide.

Visit to the fish market auction at Palamós, another small village on Costa Brava. Meanwhile, we will enjoy the arrival of the fishermen's boats.

WEDNESDAY, September 25th

Visit by bus to Barcelona: (Dress: Casual, Cool, Walking Shoes)
"Sagrada Familia" (Church of the Holy Family) by the architect Gaudí, surely the most famous construction of Catalan Modernism throughout the world, started in 1882 and still unfinished, by the architect Gaudí.
the famous Passeig de Gràcia (one of the main avenues of the city), with interesting samples of Gaudí's works (Casa Milà, Casa Batlló, etc.).
the Gothic Quarter with the Roman and Medieval remains (oldest part of the city), the Cathedral and its cloister (interesting Gothic example), the façades of the Town Hall and Generalitat Palace. A personal welcome by the Mayor of Barcelona is expected at the Town Hall (still to be confirmed).
visit to Picasso Museum, located in the Gothic Palaces of "Berenguer Aguilar". It has collections of paintings, drawings, ceramics and graphics which are vital in order to find out about the young Picasso and his formative years, particularly between 1895 and 1904. The set of works from 1917 and the "Las Meninas" series from 1957 are also outstanding exhibits.

Lunch at an old turn-of-the-century Catalan farmhouse, 28 km from Barcelona, set in beautiful gardens. We will taste the typical "calçots" (broiled tender white sweet onion with "Romescu" sauce) Delicious !!!!

THURSDAY, September 26th

Departure by bus for a visit to Barcelona's New Urbanisni. The ICCA Group will be guided by the wife of the Mayor of Barcelona, Ms. Diana Garrigosa, who will kindly join us and tell to all addicts about the New Barcelona architecture. (Dress: Casual, Cool, Walking Shoes)
Drive to the wine region Qf Penedés, where the largest Catalan "Cava" producers In Spain are located. Arrival to Caves Freixenet, famous "cava" cellar, with cava-tasting and lunch included.
Trip back from Caves Freixenet to Hotel Barceló Sants.
Dinner at local restaurant "Set Portes". (Dress: Coat & Tie)
FRIDAY, September 27th

A walk through the Rambles, including a visit to "La Boqueria" (famous local food market), where we will buy some of the ingredients of the paella you will cook for lunch. (Dress: Casual, Cool, Walking Shoes)

Self-made paella tasting and lunch. Following the instructions of Rosa, by groups, all addicts will have the opportunity to cook their own paella. (Dress: Cooking uniform will be provided, however casual dress is recommended).
AGM at Hotel Barcelona Sants
Punch and Dinner at "El Bistrôt de Florian", "Rosa & Xavier"'s restaurant. Rosa & Xavier have the pleasure to offer this dinner to all addicts. (Dress: Coat & Tie)
SATURDAY, September 28th
a.m.
Visit to Montserrat Mountain (4.050 ft - 1.235 m) with its impressive rock formations. Visit to the Monastery and Basilica to see the 12th Century Romanesque sculpture of the Black Virgin.

Viewing the Auction while having a buffet lunch at the hotel.

Barcelona Antiques "Deballage" in Montjuïc Mountain, near the Hotel. A nice opportunity for antiques and corkscrews hunting.
